    Source #1: Criterion Collection USA UHD Blu-ray (video, audio, commentary, subtitles, chapters) – thanks TMT! Source #2: Filmin WEB-DL (subtitles) Criterion’s new transfer of the original mono mix sounds much better than both the DVD and the Amazon WEB-DL. The old audio tracks are significantly worse transfers from a much lower-quality source element. The commentary track on the Criterion release is likely a downmix. Unfortunately, the DVD loses 24 frames by the end of the runtime, one frame at a time, so the DD track couldn’t be edited losslessly without a decent amount of progressive desynchronization.
