What player do you use to get the Dolby Vision to work? I use Kodi or the Just (Video) Player on the Nvidia Shield TV Pro. I am only able to get it to work, if I rip the movie myself from the full 4K Blu-ray disc to an mp4 (DVDFab). What do you use?
hey, I use the regular plex app on an Apple TV 4k 2nd gen and it plays prof 7 Dolby Vision just fine. I switched to ATV4K after being unsuccessful in getting the shield tv pro to play DV. Hope that helps.
I see. Good to know. But I prefer the Nvidia Shield. So I will stick with creating my own rips to make it work.
For Shield Pro (2019!) you have to use Kodinerds Custom Kodi builds: https://repo.kodinerds.net/index.php?action=list&scope=cat&item=Binary%20(arm64-v8a)
v8a is for Shield Pro and DV P7/P5/P8 Support.
v7a is for FireTV 4K Max and DV P5 and P8 Support.
Apple TV 4K with Infuse Pro sucks – it’s the same as FireTV 4K Max
