What’s the difference between DV, DoVi and DV.HDR releases? I thought DV meant no HDR10 fall back, while DV.HDR had both DV and HDR10 data. That leaves DoVi….what is this?

“DV” only and “Dovi” only, without “.HDR” tagged is Dolby Vision Profile 5, without fallback.
DV.HDR and Dovi.HDR are Dolby Vision Profile 8 (custom injection) with HDR10 fallback.
In theory, “DV/Dovi (only)” is tiny bit better, but only if bitrates are pretty much the same.
    for example: Dovi 15,9 Mbit/s is worse than DV.HDR 25,9 Mbit/s.
    Dovi 24,9 Mbit/s is better than HDR.DV 24,9 Mbit/s
(btw “DV.HDR” is the same like “HDR.DV”)

For retail UHD BluRay there is Dolby Vision Profile 7 – it’s like “HDR.DV” Profile 8 stuff, but with more Metadata in Dolby Vision Enhanced layer.

For anyone who downloaded this and discovered that the main subtitles are missing the freman and harkonnen etc lines that are in the forced subtitle you can get fixed ones from the link below.
    https://indexsubtitle.cc/subtitles/dune-part-two
Filter using ‘english flux repack 2160p sash35’
The three results are forced, eng, and eng-sdh.
