can someone explain the recent-ish trend of the scene stripping HDR metadata from 2160 rips? who are these mysterious people who want 2160 but not the available HDR (in this case DV) and keep HDR releases from being the first available? i was shocked when we saw monster season 3 with various hdr flavors so early it’s been such a consistent annoyance. not trying to start anything, i am genuinely asking why
