I can’t keep up with all the new encoding, etc, nor can I find any explanation at all online (?). Is there a distinct and/or perceptible difference between ‘regular’ DV and DoVi? Is DoVi just ‘enhanced’ Dolby Vision (i guess ‘profile 7’ is the ‘highest’ industry grade now?)? Anybody? Great film, BTW.

DV and Dovi, i’m pretty sure is just a naming scheme they are using, some group use DV some use Dovi. I find Dovi naming is easier to search if you are specifically looking for DV content. As for Profiles. Profile 5/8 is just RPU which is the per scene/per frame meta data, these can be found in WEB-DL. Where profile 7 is used exclusively for Bluray releases. Profile 7, tt comes as BL+EL+RPU = MEL(minimal enchancement layer) which performs the same as regular Profile 5/8. I had side-by-side comparisons of the release I’ve already d/l’d from here with this one and that was the point of hesitation – “DV to DoVi” I may still d/l to see if any higher-def. Thanks again.
