It can be done using program on Pc to record whats on the screen, there is also cards that can record whats be ing transfered over HDMI, those was used in the beginning when the UHD BD rips was being released, but some still use then to rip from various streaming providers when downloading the original stream ain’t possible
not sure why you are explaining me what a webrip is. I know the difference with web-dl. What I meant is Disney + does not have an SDR version for their 4k catalog, it’s either 4k HDR/DV or 1080p SDR. So i’m surprised to see a 4K SDR release here webrip or web-dl, it doesn’t matter.

Then you should also know the x264 does not support HDR, and since the guy/girl/release group desided to encode it in x264, ergo there won’t be any HDR
And ofcaurse the quality ain’t that good, a 3840*2160 at 13.2 Mb/s AVC MPEG4 stream, thats pretty bad
But alot og ppl just hear 4k, and then its so good so good
you still dont get it . Disney+ does not offer SDR version for 4k. it’s HDR/DV only. so this is just an upscale.
Also, a sure thing is some softwares can “convert” 4K HDR to SDR resolutions, being the uploader’s job to set up the program properly. Observation shows that it seems the main issues are then colour saturation and framerate for the uploaders.
