Yeah, I’ve also noticed that too, I usually remove all unwanted foreign audio and subs with MKVToolNix GUI after my download and just keep the languages I prefer but lately I’ve been noticing the hardcoded subs being half cropped and off screen.
It is also present in the all the Star Wars WEBRIP’s during the alien dialog so I ended up deleting all those and just grabbed the UHD 4K Blurays instead.
Probably best to avoid anything WEBRIP with hardcoded subs I guess… shame really.

As aderok has pointed out. Don’t bother with this. Some idiot transcoded the original and cut off the top and bottom of the screen rendering hard coded subs useless. Then thought he’d fix it by adding SRT subs that appear over what’s left of hardcoded subs. WHAT A MESS.
