[*]Video demuxed from source 1

[*]-HD MA 5.1 from source 2 synced & re-encoded without the blank LFE track (see release notes, thanks vevv!)

[*]DD 2.0 commentary #1 synced from source 3; DD 2.0 commentary #2 demuxed from source 1

[*]English (US / SDH / centered) subtitles demuxed from source 1; English (US / SDH / positional) subtitles synced from source 2 & tonemapped; multiple language PGS subtitles synced from source 2 & tonemapped; multiple language text subtitles synced from Netflix and iTunes (thanks vevv!)

[*]Named chapters from source 3 synced to matching scene change I- or P-frames; last chapter split in two for a discrete end credits chapter

[*]Source 1: Billy Madison 1995 2160p USA UHD Blu-ray DV HDR HEVC -HD MA 5.1-TMT - Kino Lorber | USA (2025) (Thanks!)

[*]Source 2: Billy Madison 1995 1080p EUR Blu-ray VC-1 -HD MA 5.1-HDBiZ - Universal Studios | EUR (2010) (Thanks!)

[*]Source 3: Billy Madison 1995 R1US Special Edition NTSC DVD9 - Universal Studios | USA (2005) (Thanks!)

[*]Release Notes: Thanks to TMT for passing me the UHD early. The audio sounds mostly the same between the USA and EUR but the USA is padded 16-bit with dither noise. Additionally, the USA audio is slightly out of sync as-is (relative to sync on the previous EUR BD), but this wouldn't be noticeable while watching. What is noticeable, however, are three missing frames on the USA UHD at a scene change in the last third of the film. The EUR 5.1 audio was edited to account for these missing frames, but I found that the USA 5.1 audio was even more desynchronized at this point. To ensure that my sync was correct, I muxed both the untouched USA 5.1 audio and the synced EUR 5.1 audio with the USA video and stepped frame-by-frame in mpv to listen for sync on abrupt sound FX (hands hitting a table, etc.). I found that the USA 5.1 audio goes further out of sync at that point while the EUR 5.1 stays perfectly in sync; Kino Lorber likely botched the audio synchronization for their release. The LFE is blank on both BDs so it was discarded and the synced track was re-encoded as DTS-HD MA 5.0 with a 768 kbps core. The director's commentary from the DVD (used over the USA UHD's track as it had the same fidelity with the addition of Dolby Surround metadata) was also synced to account for the three missing frames as it syncs exactly with the EUR BD after a 1001ms offset. Additionally, the original theatrical Cinema DTS track was compared against both BDs, but fidelity is the same across all three sources. All subtitles from the EUR BD were also edited to account for the missing frames & tonemapped to match the hex code of the USA UHD subtitles.
