Bellevue features Anna Paquin, the one and the same who played Sookie Stackhouse in the 7 series run of True Blood on HBO. She starred in several films as well including X-Men (2000) and X2: X-Men United (2003) as Rogue, and X-Men Days of Future Past (2011), Scream 4 (2011), and a large body of TV and film I can't mention here, check IMDb.
Bellevue aired in the US on WGN, (who aired Salem, Manhattan, and Underground as their own exclusive original programming between 2014 - 2018), Bellevue being produced by Canadian television studios at CBC. The above were quite a new achievement for WGN, as Salem, and Manhattan were produced by high production cost, slick looking studios that produced high quality visual effects scripted television, on a syndicated channel that is only available on US cable networks. Syndicated TV historically only broadcasts reruns of television that has had previous reruns on their originally produced channels, large broadcast networks (not cable), what original broadcasting syndicated television typically does is morning talk shows around a sofa in a live studio, children's variety shows with simple production values like a clown and puppet in a studio, WGN started out on a single city Chicago based broadcast signal that was re-broadcast over cable by Turner Broadcasting, and briefly a Warner Brothers affiliation that lasted very briefly in early 2000s, just about a year long. I have been curious to see how "Bellevue" compares to "Salem" and "Manhattan" which I found extremely enjoyable as exclusive WGN offerings, and CBC is no less adept at creating good television so I don't expect to be disappointed, as I was not of their production "Burden of Truth," (ft Kristin Kreuk of "Beauty and the Beast") which both aired on The CW in the US.
